Yeah – sorry. I wrote this like 6 years ago, and it looks like the shmups article is gone off tigsource, which is weird since their own site still links to it all over the place. Anyway, I updated the link to Warning Forever to something that still works. 6 years later that game’s become a classic

Hey,

Dad, come up next weekend and we will finish the coop! I will be getting what I can done this weekend – Susan is out of town and it’s just Brady and me – Saturday is ‘here hang out working in the garden with me my boy! Day.

Re: the airflow issue. There’s plenty. Too much, really, in terms of the cold. But anyway there is plenty of airflow. At night you can see light leaking from literally every edge both at the bottom and the top.

re: cooking one up for Stan – come get one. One of these new birds is another damned rooster, so now I will have 3, which is 2 too many. Your mom want em? Free roosters for the taking!

Yeah, I was wondering about ventilation too. I’m sure it’s not an airtight seal around the lid though, so maybe no matter.

You may want to poke a couple of holes, not too big, in the side for ventilation. Probably depends on how tight a seal you get with the roof though.
Stan says they look tasty and you should cook one up for him.

bear reminds me of coons – they skedaddle at stray noises but then come back around to get what they didn’t the first time. and say, is that music as homemade as the bird feeder? or can it be found somewhere commercial?

(I’ll see if Susan’s got a photo – he takes the funniest positions. The bed is a mattress on the floor next to his crib, and sometimes, he gets down on all fours on the floor with his head on the bed, then falls asleep. He looks ridiculous and adorable at the same time).

as to the ‘it ends at 18,’ line, you joke, but my friends kids are at or approaching the jr high age range where I turned into a little devil. I shudder to think of those kids, who I’ve known since they were infants, getting up to the mischief I got into in Huntington and then in Northport.
