You’ve reached daves-place/metamusing. This site has been around in one form or another for the past nine or ten years. The site exists mainly as a resource for my family and friends, but there’s content here that may be of interest to the random surfer who’s happened across it.
So who runs this place? I do – David Hamilton. I’m a web developer by trade, working in academia. I’m 42, was born in Missouri, and raised mostly in New York but with interludes in Ohio, British Columbia and San Francisco. I graduated from high school in Northport, New York, and got a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the College of Wooster in 1991. I spent the about 11 years in and around Portland, Maine, then moved to Saratoga Springs, NY in the summer of 2004. In the spring of 2006 I moved to western Massachusetts, where I currently live and work. If you’d like to know more about me you can use the links at the top or meander around in my site.
Just a friendly heads-up about your “About” section – you might have more luck if you switch the phrasing from “Perspective employers” to “Prospective employers”

Ha ha, thanks for the heads up on the typo. This section is a bit of a shambles, I really should spend some time banging it back into shape. It’s been neglected ever since I migrated to wordpress.
